We have a brand new design (pictured above) engineered for fast and nimble fire and rescue response. Its development is in response to numerous requests we’ve received from first responders for a versatile, easy to operate, and value-priced craft. The new Lake Assault RHIB craft is 22′ x 8′ 6″ (including the collar). This lightweight boat is able to operate in as little as 12 to 14 inches of water. It is an ideal fit for departments responding to a wide range of water conditions including flooding. It can be launched and operated by a single person and can be configured for firefighting, dive, rescue and patrol operations. The Lake Assault RHIB is rated for up to 225 hp and is capable of speeds in excess of 45 mph. Demo 9 has a full width pilot house complete with overhead work lighting, ample view with tempered safety glass windows, two weather proof split doors for entering and exiting the pilot house, and fold-up bench seating. Demo 9 has Twin Mercury Verado 250 HP outboards. The fire pump engine is a 365 HP, 6.0L, Marinized GM V-8, fueled with gasoline. This boat has an awesome light package, including scene lights and underwater lights on the bow door to illuminate in a downward direction to provide work light in shallow water situations and a target for divers to focus on when returning to the surface in poor visibility situations. It wouldn’t be a Lake Assault Boat without a great navigation set up as well, complete with Garmin radar, sonar with SideVu and DownVu and FLIR infrared camera.
